I’m Celia Abernethy, travel writer and itinerary designer in Italy. Originally from New York, I came to Milan to walk the runways for Armani, Krizia, Gucci and Valentino. Today, I explore the promenades of Italy and I ‘strut my stuff’ using words and photos.

I first started MilanoStyle.com in 1999 as a blog to share my life in Milan, Italy with my friends and family back home. Later after moving to Lecco on Lake Como, I started LakeComoStyle.com. The blogs grew into an online travel magazine, directory and travel consulting business.

I help style-savvy travelers plan unforgettable trips to Milan and Lake Como.

In 2003 I moved to Lecco on Lake Como and started LakeComoStyle to chronicle my new life and discoveries at the lake. I split my time between Milan and Lake Como and everything I discover and experience is the inspiration for my freelance writing and blogs.

Through MilanoStyle and LakeComoStyle, I have met and connected with people from all over the world who are equally fascinated by il bel paese. It has opened many doors of opportunity, such as public speaking, guest appearances, and having my work published in publications like Forbes Travel Guide, Huffington Post, and Corriere della Sera.
