They city of Como is set�on Lake Como the third largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. It is �Y� shape with the northern branch beginning in Colico and the towns of Como and Lecco create the start for the other two branches, Bellagio sits in the Y point looking out to the lake and the Swiss Alps. BELLAGIO
Bellagio, known as �the pearl of Lario� is a wonderful little city set in the hills at the Y point of Lake Como. It is quaint, romantic and picturesque. For us it is a great day trip from Lecco and about a 35 minutes drive. Bellagio is great for shopping for locally produced silk, antiques and original craftwork. Don�t miss visiting Villa Serbelloni�or Vila Melzi. You must try the local speciality Risotto al Pesce�di Persico (Italian rice and Perch).
